By 1775. the colonies were officially over it all. The Stamp Act. taxes. and the whole pay up but don’t vote routine stopped being a complaint and turned into a dare.
The Boston Tea Party sent a clear F you to the King. and when British troops marched on Lexington and Concord. the locals answered with gunfire.
